Hugs Matter
I was talking with someone I had not seen in a while. She lost her husband a few months ago.
It amazed me that she had such a peace in her spirit. Her eyes and demeanor were filled with love and not unsettled. She knows who God is and knows that her husband has been welcomed into Heaven. When I spoke of the upcoming book launch, she was thrilled. After our chat, I sent her a message. Her reply included how much a hug meant to her years earlier after the loss of their son. I had no idea that an embrace during grief would be remembered. Hugs matter. I am realizing how much I need to be in meaningful fellowship and relationship with the people of God.
