Giving Thanks

Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!

For His mercy endures forever.

– 1 Chronicles 16:34 NKJV

91I messaged back and forth with a friend regarding Thanksgiving meal plans,

wondering if she and her new beau would be sharing part of the day together.

A childish grin covered my face, and butterflies filled my abdomen as I

remembered my first major holiday celebration with my husband before we

were married. It was a Thanksgiving to remember. Gratitude and excitement

filled my cornucopia to overflowing in abundance, a “horn of plenty.”

As I inhale and exhale, I thank You, God,

Life still flows in this old bod.

Giving thanks in more ways than I can count,

Blessings overflow from a Heavenly fount.

This Thanksgiving is here for limited hours.

But my gratitude carries forth daily power.

Take a moment to express gratitude. Gratitude for every blessing.

Jeremiah 30:19 (ESV): “Out of them shall come songs of thanksgiving, and the

voices of those who celebrate.”

1 Chronicles 29:13 (ESV): “And now we thank you, our God, and praise your

glorious name.”
