Farewell and Hello

Ready or not, 2026 is here.  I admit, I am not prepared; I like to be prepared.  My review/reflection of 2025 is not complete and I have barely outlined goals for 2026. I need time for introspection and self evaluation.

How about you? Have you reflected on 2025? What are you most proud of?  Where do you see opportunities for heightened development in 2026?

I encourage you to spend time over the next few days reviewing your year.  I’ll bet you have accomplished things you didn’t know you could achieve.  You have touched lives and made lasting impacts.

I didn’t accomplish everything I wanted to in 2025, but I am proud to have written my first book, Ruffled and Redeemed. I am proud to be the wife of a caring, loving, faith-filled and driven husband.

I am proud to share my faith, show love to family and friends, serve my local church, community, and denomination.

2026, will be a continuation of serving, connecting, writing-another book is planned and continuing to discover who God has called me to be.

Happy New Year! Welcome 2026!

This first post of the new year includes a devotional from Ruffled and Redeemed.  I think it’s a fitting way to begin anew.  The old is gone, the new has come. Welcome the new year and all its possibilities. Farewell 2025, hello 2026. Let’s start fresh, create meaningful connections and allow God to use us for His glory.

Farewell and hello

Farewell past, you’ve drifted out to sea never to return and hello to what’s to come on the horizon.

The past can be sharp and daunting.  The past can hold the fondest memories and times of joy.  But all of it, good, great or weary to remember, is in the past.  Grow and glean from it.  Now, it’s time for farewell and press forward into what today and tomorrow hold.  So, farewell past and hello to what’s here and lies ahead.

2 Corinthians 5:17

New King James Version
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
